Cooking 101 Series (March Break)
Our March Break Cooking 101 Series will turn the Dish kitchen into an action-packed classroom where teens measure, chop, sift, and sauté their way to new found knowledge and passion for food. Designed with teens in mind, students are actively engaged in the cooking process from start to finish. Under the professional instruction of our school chefs, teens will get hands-on experience cooking with fresh, local ingredients, creating dishes from around the world.
Each day will focus on learning new skills and techniques, and will become progressively more advanced as the week continues. Skills include: knife skills, butchery, vegetable cookery, fresh pasta, the art of grilling, pastry arts, and more. The final day of Cooking 101 will feature an "Iron Chef" black box competition, where all skills learned throughout the week will be put to the test.
Tuition for this spring cooking camp includes: instruction, daily recipes, hands-on cooking with guidance from our chefs, and tasting all dishes from class. All materials and equipment are provided. Ages 12-17.
Cooking Series 101 runs for 5 consecutive days (11:00am to 2:00pm) from Monday, March 13 to Friday, March 17.
